The Archaeological Museum of Českolipsko offers several different expositions. A unique speleoarchaeological exhibition is installed in the former town prison, which presents visitors, through finds and pictorial panels, the broad topic of the use of caves and rock overhangs by man from hunting prehistory to the 20th century in individual sandstone and karst areas, with an emphasis on the region of northern and northeastern Bohemia.
The second exhibition is dedicated to the archaeology of Česká Lípa and local medieval and early modern pottery production (including models of kilns reconstructed on the basis of excavations in the area of the Česká Lípa Pottery Quarter). The Prison Corner is dedicated to the actual building of the lockup and the history of the prison system and law enforcement in Česká Lípa.
The exhibition includes an info kiosk where visitors can virtually explore medieval Česká Lípa in a 3D model and use a touch screen to take a trip to selected caves in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia.
